Elegant wine with Intense fruit from 100 year old Carignan (Samsó) vines.
A century old vineyard offered the opportunity to show the fruit's adaptation through many generations.
" History brought to us La Francesa, a vineyard in the lieu-dit El Garrigal, a millennial winegrowing site that should be re-admitted among world class wines. The Romans knew this nearly 3,000 years ago." Oriol Guevara

Tasting Notes | |
Winemaker's Notes | When serving temperature is slowly achieved at around 17c, The finesse of the nose is at its best brining up a mix of black fruit and violets. In the mouthfeel one can eventually also notice such aromas but merely receive the contradiction of a full-bodied powerful wine with grandiose smooth tannins in great balance with acidity and freshness. |
