From a New Appellation recognised in February 2017 AC Champtoceaux near Ancenis in the Loire Valley (just 40km inland from Nantes).  Grapes; Melon de Bourgogne from 35 year old vines and just 1 ha of production. 

Cool fermentation and a staggering 5 years stirred on the lees before release in Sept. 2015. Powerful nose of Acacia honey, Smooth powerful and mineral on the palate with a brioche flavour. Cellaring potential up to 10 years.
