This is light/medium bodied and quite aromatic dry red wine at just 12.5% Alc. This is a red wine to have with food - Cheese Red meat, game .. you choose.
(My thoughts? - this wine is what I call 'juicy' ( has good acid levels) - perhaps with med / rare or rare red meat or something with tomato (acidic) sauces. It surprised me - I usually find Cabernet Franc too aromatic and perfumed for me but this wine changed my view - I love it)
The blend of 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon is very typical of this part of the Loire. Winemakers notes: "Complex and smoky Nose of Caramel, Vanilla and Mocha. Black Fruit and caramel flavours leading to powdery tannins"
Just 2 ha of 30-year-old vines. Aged 3 months in tanks and then 12 months in Oak Barrels,
Cellaring Potential 4-8 years.
