Have you ever read all that hype about wines, “the most famous Chateau”, “ with 300 years of history in the bottle”, “the vintage of the century” and then thought “OK who actually made this wine?
M-Wines wondered this too so we searched for unheralded young winemakers and asked them to make the special wine of their choice and tell us their story. Our winemakers are not famous, but perhaps should be. And they all have a good story to tell.
Only 1,000 individually numbered bottles are released which makes it a little exclusive. Each is sold in a gift case with the winemakers name on the bottle and a booklet telling their story in their words.
An M-Wine is the opportunity to give or own a genuinely exclusive and premium wine backed up by real person, nothing contrived, just a winemakers story and their favorite wine.
The first release, a Martinborough Pinot Noir 2011 by “Kiwi Aussie” Virgil Kerr is available now, soon to be followed by Thomas Raynaud’s Côte du Roussillon Villages in October 2013.
